EQG: Aftermath

"How can you be friends with her after all she's done?" Charles cried cornering his friend. Rarity's eyes narrowed, brow fixed in defensive accusation.

"I promised Twilight I would." She answered firmly, closing her locker to face the shorter boy. Hurt remained glued to his features, forcing elaboration. "Everyone deserves a second chance. You've said so countless times." Charles flushed, pursing his lips.

"That was different. Erik never sabotaged your chance at the Spring crown--"

"He dated Sunset for a year, during which he's been responsible for numerous other things."

"That's not the same, he's not really like--"

"Neither is she." She retorted, raising her hands. "I don't like this anymore than you do, but we've a chance to finally unite our school. If Sunset Shimmer's willing to cooperate-- and by the way she looked that night, I'd say she is-- why shouldn't we move forward?" Sapphire bore into sky blue, until the latter blinked away. You did the same, it IS the same, she helped you isn't it your turn?

...in principle. It is.

A heavy sigh, stuffing hands deep in his pockets.

"Fine...I'll...say hello the next time I see her."

Tension lingered between them, still; nonetheless, Rarity smiled. "Thank you, darling."
