PLEASE NOTE: I watched DBGT when it FIRST AIRED. Ten years ago. There was far less information than there is now about it, all I knew was the FUNimation dub, including the ages. That is what I grew up with. I'm too old now and no longer into this fandom to change, now.


PLEASE NOTE (2): Mirai Pan's story no longer follows my old fan-continuation. It is now set squarely in an alternate Dragon Ball: GT. Piccolo's death in the Bebi saga undoes Pilaf's wish, turning Goku back into an adult. As a result, he, Vegeta and Pan enter the Tenkaichi Budokai, and similarly to the old story, it's Vegeta that causes the head wound eventually leading to Kakarot's awakening. There's also a version that crosses over with Super.

In a slight AU of Dragonball ITF, right before either the Albert saga or the Kekkarot saga (probably the Albert saga) the z fighters get a surprise visitor from a strange 26-year-old woman, bent on destroying Son Goku.

After a quick battle between her and the others (Goku, Trunks, and Pan) it is revealed that not only is she a saiyan with a tail....one that doesn't cause her to weaken if you grab it....but can ascend the super saiyan level. However, her identity remains concealed. The only one she remotely opens up to is Vegeta, who, tackling her off....probably Trunks or Pan) is stunned and confused when her hard expression turns to one of shock and she utters the word "g-grandfather....?"

However....she isn't really Vegeta's granddaughter. The woman is actually a much older Pan, who came back in time to destroy Goku. In her timeline, she and Vegeta, who are the only two left alive after the Kekkarot saga, are unable to defeat Kekkarot....unable to turn him back to Goku. Beaten and out of power, they flee, living in hiding until they heal enough to stop Kekkarot again. They use the last of the senzu beans (Kekkarot destroys Korin's tower AND Kami's lookout.

However, what caused Pan to finally make the trip back in time was when Vegeta, her 'adoptive grandfather' (she started calling him that shortly after moving in with him, seeing as to how her family was dead, and her biological grandfather, Goku, was dead to her) was finally killed by Kekkarot, after 11 years. Now the only fighter left, Pan decided to go back in time and stop this terrible future from even happening.


She also, later mentions something about Goku's evil self resurfacing having to do with his ascension to super saiyan five. that it is a darker form; one that can only be accessed if one is absolutely desparate....willing to take whatever means neccessary to defeat whatever obstacle it is they're facing.

While she can ascend to super saiyan and super saiyan two, (like the current Pan will eventually do) this Pan can also go super saiyan four. After losing her arm and one eye, Vegeta decided she needed more power, and the next time her tail grew out, it remained and was not cut off. He trained her to become immune to its weakness, and eventually she began to use it almost like a second arm. However, with her tail back, she was vulnerable to the moon, and one fateful night, after transforming into an Oozaru, and with help from Vegeta, she became a super saiyan four.

This probably won't actually happen in the direct Dragonball ITF storyline, but I may use it as a side "what if" story.
