MLP: Hephaestus

Hephaestus! The Greek (and now pony) god of art and metal-smithing.

The husband (or "ex"-husband at this point) of Aphrodite, he is one of the "mane" gods, and lives in his workshop at the base of Mt. Olympus. Lame in his front foreleg due to being tossed from the mountain eons ago by Hera, he is one of the humbler gods, and is very good friends with Athena.

He is also the adoptive father of Princess Cadence, taking her in when her birth parents (Aphrodite and Ares) showed no interest in being her parent.

He's one of my favorite gods (next to Poseidon and Athena) and I'm glad I found a role for him in my MLP headcanon.

Note: The "fiery" outlines around his mane and tail are ever-moving, occasionally sparking with fiery light.
